Hello there! Thanks for stopping by. My name is Jennifer and I started my little company back in 2009. However I had been designing cards and making art long before that. In elementary school I always made Valentine cards for my classmates and cards for my teachers. In high school my art teacher told me that my designs would work well for greeting cards. The seed was planted and in college I began to focus more on card design. That’s when I also started making tiny clay figurines. I took both my cards and figurines to a few craft fairs throughout the years.

After college I began looking for ways to do more with my art. Jennifer Costello Designs was born. I began trekking all around St. Louis stopping at shops and boutiques asking them to sell my cards. A few took a chance and for several years you could find my cards in St. Louis shops. Not too long after a friend asked me to make a cake topper for her wedding. It was quite the challenge because the couple was riding a horse! Now I had made a cake topper few years earlier for my brother and sister-in-law but at the time it didn’t occur to me that others might be interested. So it turned out I found a new niche and I’ve been making custom cake toppers ever since. That has since expanded into ornaments and custom figurines.

I love the lighter side of life which I hope can be seen in my whimsical and playful artwork. My hope is that my art will bring a smile to your face. In addition to exploring the many possibilities of art I enjoy snow skiing, hiking, cycling, board games, and discovering unique places around my hometown of St. Louis.
